The wonderful Hormel Nature Center is not to be missed, as well as the resident naturalist!" Enjoy viewing wildlife at this 507-acre center featuring an Interpretive Building,
which enables visitors to see the textures of furs, antlers, bones and fungi and includes living displays that feature snakes, salamanders, toads and an indoor beehive. Another building on site is the beautiful Ruby Rupner Auditorium, which is available for your next group tour. The Naturalist staff also gives programs that include wild flower hikes, cider pressing, maple syruping, astronomy and more. Your group may even learn how to walk and talk like a snipe.

The pumpkin patch opens the last Saturday of September and is open daily 12 noon to 6 PM. Pick your own pumpkins from over 30 varieties and pick delicious fall raspberries until they freeze. Fresh vegetables and squash are available at the farm along with all your fall decorating supplies. Party facility available and school tours available. Take pictures and enjoy the quiet fall beauty. Horse drawn wagon rides on various days. U-Pick Farm open 7 days a week. 7AM-6 PM on weekends, in October, noon to 6 PM.

Catch a wave on the SPAMtown Belle, which docks at East Side Lake every spring. This 36 foot paddle wheel boat takes riders from April until September, and can hold up to 18 passengers.

The Austin Bruins team began play during the 2010-11 season. A member of the North American Hockey League in the Central Division, the Bruins play their home games in the Riverside Arena.

Market Days in May-October are Monday, Thursday and Saturday. New indoor Winter Market at the Oak Park Mall every Thursday will be open from 3:00-6:00pm.
